The Grange Church Norton Sussex Pen & Ink Drawing

Overall Size:  48.5cm x 40.5cm.  Image Size:  24cm x 33.3cm

Original thin black and gilt wood frame.  White mount with black lined inner frame.

I bought this picture 20 years ago at an Art sale in Selsey, Sussex.  I originally listed this as a building in Selsey, as I could not remember where or what it was called.  However, a kind fellow Ebayer has now informed me, that in all probability it is the Grange at Church Norton on the Manhood Peninsula.  Many thanks again to them for this information.

Real Signature bottom right of painting.  Leyden '76

Executed in pen and ink.  It has been extremely well done.  Good perspective.  Nice composition and lovely use of dots, cross thatching and lines to produce light and darkness.  Sorry, I also can't remember who Leyden was, however from this picture it shows a very accomplished artist.

Condition:  Minor scratch marks on frame, but in good condition.  Dust has got in under the glass, so could do with a clean. Pen and Ink in good condition.  Good colour.  No damage.
