This is the story of Enzo Ferrari and his dogged determination to produce the world's fastest and most sophisticated road and racing cars. His sleek, hand-crafted machines were driven by princes and playboys, becoming a symbol of personal success for the privileged few and the dream of many.

Nine Formula One World Championships went to Ferrari during Enzo's lifetime and there might well have been more had he pursued his ambitions more single-mindedly. But racing was just one of the areas in which the charismatic Italian wanted to rule the automotive world. As well as winning Grand Prix races he wanted his exclusive road-going sports cars to be the automatic choice of the daring and wealthy. After almost eighty years in the automobile business, Enzo Ferrari had created a legacy trademarked by some of the most beautiful racing cars ever to grace the road.

This programme charts the whole chronological history of Enzo's company to show you just how the Ferrari legend was created.
