It’s the Coen Brothers, so you already know the kind of films you are getting.  The Big Lebowski is a slacker generation favourite; the story of a man trying to get his rug replaced who gets drawn into a world of millionaires, kidnappers, artists and nihilists. The Hudsucker Proxy is one of the endearing entries to the Coen Canon, at times akin to It’s a Wonderful Life.  Tim Robbins is the naïve, lovable main character almost getting beaten down as he’s elevated in a cynical, profit-driven world. Barton Fink is the story of a playwright, who develops writer’s block whilst working on a film script.  Blood Simple is a modern film noir revolving around a small town affair.
