The Broons Book 1969 Edition Very Good Condition. Very clean with the price still intact (6 Shillings). The pages are all still bright with no foxing and they are tightly bound. "Stephen Wilkinson" written neatly at top right front page. The spine is intact with only 4 or 5mm scuff to top. Hardly worth mentioning but I do like to be as honest and precise as I can be with my listings. Some other sellers just give a general overview but I like to point out any defects in advance to ensure that my 100% feedback rating is maintained. I'm did plan to sell off my entire personal collection of Broons and Oor Wullie books at the same time and originally it was my intention to start the bidding for every book at 99p with no reserve. I own every annual from 1967 to 2009 and every harback release going back over ten years, plus fire safety specials. However, the new policy that ebay has adopted regarding the forcing of sellers to offer free p&p means I can't afford to take the risk. I'd end up out of pocket thanks to ebay's greed, wanting to extract even more money from sellers as they now earn more from the increased initial valuation and also at the back end too from the extra added to the final value fee as a result of incorporating the postage into the sale. In effect, ebay are taxing postage now so sellers can hardly break even. Can you tell how angry I am with ebay? If you are interested in a particular annual from a certain year then please drop me a line. IMPORTANT NOTICE As mentioned above, last week Ebay changed its policy regarding the sale of books, comics and magazines, stopping sellers from advertising postage costs and forcing them to list P&P as free, so basically, if I sell a book for 99p and it costs me £3.00 to send it I've sent someone a book for free and donated £2.00 to the post office. Yeah, I know. I don't understand it either. For this reason I've had to start the auction a price which I'd be happy to sell the book for including postage. Ebay's argument is that they have to compete against big companies offering free postage. How they can compare massive companies such as Amazon and Play.com selling items they've bought at massive discount and vat free due to posting from Guernsey and relate that to Joe Bloggs selling second hand stuff in an effort to clear out their shelf space before Christmas I'll never know, but there you are. I pride myself on speed of dispatch. I get things off in the post as soon as is humanly possible (check my seller feedback), however, due to the turmoil caused by the postal strike I hope the winning bidder is patient should any delay occur. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Send me message via eBay. Kind regards, The Cainster. I pride myself on speed of dispatch.
