Up for auction is The Beasts of Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Copyright 1916 by A. C. McClurg & Co in Great Britain. Published by Grossett and Dunlap, New York. On the title page it states that this book was produced under wartime conditions but is complete and unabridged. I am not sure how this differs from other books printed at the same time. The cover is solid with a some dents/ scratching (?) on the bottom of the front cover (as shown in picture) and something similar on the back. There is mild wear to the top and bottom of the spine. There are a couple of numbers written inside the front cover as well as a small stamp from a bookstore. The inside pages have darkened with age, as shown in the pictures, otherwise they are clean with just a couple of tiny dog eared corners. There are many black and white illustrations. Book measures approx 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" with 336 pages .
