Published in NSW, Australia, by Methuen in 1981 this is a nearest to fine condition FIRST EDITION: 2nd PRINTING copy. This is a hugely collectible copy! Internally clean,  It measures  5½ins  X  8ins  OR  14cms  x  20cms and has 183 pages, all unmarked and UNread.  Bound in glorious orange cloth covered boards with strong gold titles to the spine.

Purchased in 1981, nearly twenty years ago, it could have been brought yesterday, very carefully and well preserved since purchase. An A-M-A-Z-I-N-G copy(see below)!! It looks and feels as new, UNread. Pages inside are all pristine & binding is tight.

Product Description
During a thirty-six hour flight from Australia to England, fourteen-year-old Margaret uncovers a smuggling plot among her seatmates.

Set in a small outback town in Australia where a young girl enjoys peaceful country life with her father. Margaret is on her annual trip to London to visit her mother when she becomes convinced that a couple on the plane are smuggling birds out of Australia. Convincing the authorities this is the case becomes a problem.

Joan Phipson:  A PIONEER of 20th-century Australian children's writing, Joan Phipson also won international fame for her novels.
