The memoirs of Peter Roach, a member of the British 8th Army Royal Tank Regiment during WW2. Prior to the war he was a merchant seaman, after the war he had a variety of careers, including teaching. This book tells of his time as a 'Desert Rat' at El Alamein, Wadi Halfa, Tunis, Salerno, Garigliano, Normandy, and Holland. 11 uncaptioned chapters, plus postscript. Book weight approx. 360g.
