The parasol comprises a four piece steel frame which bolts together and is supported on a machine rounded garden pole.  Thatch tiles clip onto the frame and the roof is finished with a thatched cone for the top.  Once erected, the structure provides a weather resistant shelter with a life expectancy of at least 6-10 years. 

They provide good shelter from the rain and provide cooler shade than conventional parasols in the summer.
