A U.K. band so mercurial that they reportedly split around the time of this album's U.S. release, Test Icicles excel at brash, aggressive rock that often recalls a New Wave-influenced version of the Vines. Sporting jagged guitar lines, dance-floor rhythms, and deliberately snotty vocals that all vibe perfectly with the group's cheeky name, the youthful lads in Test Icicles clearly aim to entertain and agitate at the same time, as revealed on the infectious single "Circle Square Triangle" and the herky-jerky "Dancing on Pegs."
