This is a true first edition of Terry's first book, illustrated by the author, published in 1971 by Colin Smythe. This is a signed copy in good condition overall.

It is complete with the original dustjacket with Duraseal wrapper, (lightly creased at the spine as shown) and not price clipped.

A couple of the pages have a precise small diagonal cut off at the bottom corner, all precisely the same. A couple of pages have been bent over at some point but without severe creasing. There is also a little damage at page 128 near the binding, as shown here, with a small hole in the pages.

Overall, though, this is a good copy, clean and tight, of an extremely rare book and one that would take pride of place in any Pratchett collection.
