Two Large Vintage WW2~CC4l Utility Linen Tea Towels
Both cloths measure 22" X 31"
Genuine WW2 utility stamp and the number 7518 printed in black ink on the corner of both tea towels One towel has a sales label attached ~ Roomes Stores Ltd Upminster 3/2
In beautiful crisp, slightly rough, linen with golden yellow and red stripes on cream
The tea towels are undamaged and do not appear to have been used One has some faint, tea coloured staining ( please see photos ) There are faint marks where the tea towels have been stored in folds for many years
I usually handwash everthing before sale but I didn't want to take out the original finish in the linen or remove the original sales label, so have left them alone! The cloths will need a freshening wash or dryclean before use Slightly musty smell from long storage is improving with an airing on the line
