Firstly I apologise for the layout of this page, not being an ebay selling pro I can't work out for the life of me how to make one of the fancy ads - some people have told me this is Mac related, its probably just computer illiteracy. Up for sale is my MUCH cherished TVR Tuscan in Reflex Purple with Purple and lilac interior - I have had Violet (nickname) just over 2 years and had some wonderful driving out of her, loving every minute of it, driving to Belgium and Germany for work without ever a problem, I have clocked up 20000 of the 24000 on the clock. She is a 2000 car and in the gorgeous reflex purple colourway. The car is stock without any engine/computer modifications – 3996cc, 360 BHP, V6. She is as with all Tuscans a targa roof and the roof clips out and fits into the boot, the rear screen also removes and slips into its protective bag and into the boot. I have had the 18" spider wheels black laquered and the calipers sprayed orange with the TVR writing highlighted in black to give it an even greater look. The front/small bonnet was resprayed last year to remove stone chips. There is an ipod connector (+ multichanger in boot), an optimate battery conditioner, a boost point, a boot tidy and a fancy flame rear view mirror (I still have the original that will come with the car), a new alarm/immobiliser was fitted to the car at the last MOT. There are also four 16" track wheels with good tyres included, I have never had the opportunity to take her on a track day so these have been unused by me and I believe the previous owner. I have also recently (at last service) had a momo steering wheel fitted - the original wheel (personal) is included. The Pipes have been canned so the car sounds amazing (more V8’ish than V6) and on deceleration it sounds like a gatling gun. The Front Brakes have been upgraded to larger more responsive discs (braking is excellent), a new radiator was fitted early last year, Car has gold/black Decals TVR power is still legendary (emphasised by power to weight ratio) but of course there are many cars out there now that will give them a good run for their money, the power is still awesome and you don’t get photographed, admired and stopped 10 times in a day when your driving a Porsche, Aston, Lotus or Subaru. I am an owner of 6 cars, 1 supercar, 2 classics, violet, others and being a car enthusiast I make sure they have been and are maintained above and beyond what is expected and guarantee this for this Tuscan also, she has been serviced at London TVR and has come out today (3rd) having had a pre-sale check that includes new starter-motor, oil change, coolant check and computer diagnostics test (750 GBP) - paperwork is present for most work/services. Some will ask if she has had the much doom-mongered engine rebuild but it has never been confirmed that all production cars needed it and Violet has NEVER DISLAYED ANY signs of engine weakness, rattles, clangings or other, she of course is a TVR so has the usual squeaks and noises that are half the charm of these hand made cars. I hadn't driven her for four months before this weekend and forgot what a GREAT car the tuscan is to drive and is as strong as an ox - if you like blending in then there is no chance with this, it is admired by old and young. Now I love the TVR but one thing I don’t love is that people never do anything personal to them, so I bought a salvaged trunk lid from ebay, had it resprayed and fitted a Nascar'esque type spoiler to it, this can be fitted by removing 6 bolts and again gives the car another wild look (spoiler blades have also been sprayed reflex purple - see photo). These cars are of course high performance cars and if you are expecting something you can jump in and drive for 10/15k miles without any nurturing then this (or any other supercar) is not for you, this said she is perfectly suitable for a daily commute as I did for 2 years and will excite you every step of the way. I am an honest person and would like the new owner to feel confident in the car and enjoy it as much as I have from day one. She is an 8 year old London car and in my opinion is in VGC due to the attention/time/money I have dedicated but of course displays some minor marks that relate to the tough life London roads give cars and drivers. The wheels show the most grazes (that have been touched up) due to ridiculous width restrictions in certain areas.
I will not entertain tyre kickers, test pilots, wannabe Hamiltons or any other time wasters. This is a bid to buy auction (aka a contract) and I will report any misdemeanours, the reserve in my opinion is low and very realistic (14,000 GBP) and if you beat that then its yours, you will see similar age cars with higher mileages for more money and No reflex paint, so if you are serious please feel free to email me any questions or give me a call on 07766331424, I am in the US this week and if you get voicemail, leave a message and I will call you back as soon as time/timezone permits. This is an opportunity to own a great car for the coming summer at an excellent price. Flaws with the car – the expected wear/tear, odd small body scratch and wheel scuffs (touched up) expected of an 8 year-old London car. Shrinkeage of leather trim around windows (normal). Piece of fiberglass missing around offside rear lock-down bolt on first/main bonnet – this is HIDDEN under second bonnet, the instrument pod would benefit from a recondition at some stage because the speedo needle goes wild occasionally but you can rely on the digital speed counter so this is not urgent - all of these flaws are only visible close up and are NOT detrimental in any way to performance or aesthetics, the formers can be easily corrected if you are epoxy, leather minded. I bought a piece of vinyl that matches the interior leather and this can be used on some of these. Keys will be handed over once funds have cleared, I can possibly deliver if required (including wheels and spoiler) depending on locality - if only to have one final drive!! If you need to get an insurance quote I found the best came from MCE insurance, they will do their best to beat any other quotes you have been given. - Best of Luck to all of you and if your already looking then you have GREAT taste!
