Synopsis

Prolific director Bryan Singer takes a turn towards horror as the producer of this Halloween shocker directed by X2 and SUPERMAN RETURNS screenwriter Mike Dougherty. With four interwoven tales concerning a high-school principal who moonlights as a vicious serial killer, a college-age virgin who's saving herself for that special someone, a woman whose hatred of Halloween is only exceeded by her husband's love of the mischievous holiday, and a callous group of teens who carry out an unforgivably cruel prank, this fall frightener mixes Tarantino-style storytelling with the kind of chills that can only occur on the darkest day of the year. Before you say how have you seen it? i watched it at frightfest in london...

This film is like being back in the 80s! similar to creepshow/tales from the crypt except no narrator slowing the pace and the 4 stories are all together a bit like who pulp fiction goes back n fourth in time and from character to character. It may sound confusing but its not when it gets going be warned it is not a SERIOUS movie much more the evil dead 2/return of the living dead black humour rumour through out but this is truely hilarious and gorey as hell! there is even a story involving kids that reminded me alot of goonies/monster squad!

i really have nothing bad to say about this film the cast is AMAZING Dylan Baker (spiderman/hapiness)really does prove he is a hidden gem in the acting world! also the mysterious sack boy sam (pictured on the cover works as the link between stories and he may not look much but he is sinister as they come...

i pre ordered this soon as i got in from seeing it and im gonna try finding it on the internet too because i cant wait that long to see it again if you love horrors that let you just shut down make you laugh make you throw up and make you wet ya pants then this is for you

I was a bit sceptical that this could live up to the amazing word-of-mouth this film has been receiving after showings at festivals for the last couple of years.
It lives up to them and more.

Don't let the fact that it's gone straight to DVD put you off - this is one of the best American horror films of the decade. Totally old school, it feels like the kind of film we saw when we were kids in the 80s and fell in love with. Scary enough to be taken seriously by horror geeks and gory enough to be guffawed through by 12 year olds during a sleepover, it could easily have come from the Amblin golden age of 1984-88. The way Gremlins nailed the Christmas season, this does the same for Halloween.

I honestly think it's a Halloween classic that will be watched by generations to come. It's really that good.

When you consider that this has been in the can for a couple of years and Warner is unwilling to give it a cinema release yet at the same time dross like Saw 12 keeps getting greenlit, you have to despair at the current state of Hollywood!

I am one of those lucky enough to have already seen this movie, and it is amazing.

There is virtually no Halloween movies and there is also hardly any good horror movies that have came out recently, so to find this movie was a treat!

There is 4 different stories told into 1 movie, and everything unfolds kind of like Pulp Fiction which gives it an original twist. I have heard about this movie for about 2 years now, so to finally get to see it and for it not to have been a disappointment was great.

Take a chance with this movie, sit down and enjoy it, and remember to respect the Halloween traditions... or else.
