Traditional Cross Stitch Projects by Vivienne Garforth
Our Heritage in Cross Stitch and Embroidery

This is a 120 page hardback book which was originally published in Australia in 1993. It contains a collection of 24 projects inspired by the impact of European culture on Australian embroidery in the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

Projects include a Colonial style family tree sampler, A Goldrush style patchwork quilt cover and embroidered cushions, a Victorian style bouquet bath towel and face washer, a German Lutheran style Berlin work cushion, Federation style quilted wildflower placemats, and a European influence cut work runner.

Full colour photographs of the 24 projects, step by step instructions and clear diagrams, and a glossary of stitches cater for both the beginner and the experienced embroiderer.

This book is in an excellent condition with just one tiny tear to the front cover, visible in the lower left corner of the scan.
