Mason's Improved Juvenile Fruit Jar  
A Trademark Mason's CFJ Co. Improved  Fruit Jar, aqua in color with glass insert and zinc screw band. Has the embossed CFJ emblem to front. It measures 6" tall with lid on and has a diameter across the base of about 3¼". The (o/d) across the mouth is just under 1¾". The closure is correct and the glass insert reads: "TRADE MARK MASON'S IMPROVED REGISTERED MAY 23 1871" The CFJ emblem is embossed to the center of the insert. The screw band shows some rust, oxidation and a minor dent or two. No cracks and fits snugly. The bottom of the jar is marked: "E 43". The ground lip shows typical flaking and a couple of minor chips to the outside of the lip. There are no cracks. There are a couple of medium sized as well as tiny bubbles, waviness and typical period irregularities noted to glass.  Overall a fine old jar with good clarity! This is one of several old fruit jars we will be listing this week. We are happy to combine packaging for multiple wins to save you shipping costs.
