This engine is guranteed below 30,000 miles. The engine is fully car tested but from experience we know that this is not sufficient, simply car testing the vehicle (which is what most breakers do) does not gurantee the engine will last beyond 6 months.

As a result all the engines are opened and examined, worn parts are replaced with brand new parts and the engines are re-assembled, thoroughly checked and tested, de-greased, washed and boxed.

This engine has been subject to the following:

• Cylinder heads are removed and pressure tested
• Cylinder heads are skimmed and valves are re-seated
• New valve seals fitted
• Compression tested
• Camshaft inspected
• Crankshaft inspected
• Crankshaft bearings inspected and replaced (if necessary)
• Oil pump inspected
• Oil Pressure is tested
• Oil leaks tested
• Piston rings inspected and replaced (if necessary)
• Piston liners are inspected
• Heat tabs and security holograms fitted

SMR imports low mileage units directly from reputable dismantlers in Japan to Dubai. There they take advantage of the unique Freeport system. Using the abundance of low cost, high skilled labor the units are subjected to stringent quality control and processing.

All components in SMR units are tested for zero fault tolerance; bearings, piston rings and valves are checked and replaced if necessary. All cylinder heads are skimmed and pressure tested. The units are then cleaned and boxed in specially designed crates for safety during transport and shipping. All ancillaries are removed including manifolds. No extra hours wasted stripping or cleaning.

The state of the art, purpose built, computerised system tracks the unit through all processes and the information and a certificate of quality is issued with the unit. Sourcing
All our stock is initially sourced from low mileage Japanese cars, a certain percentage is dismantled at our own licensed yard in Japan and the rest are sourced from reputable licensed dismantlers.

Testing
Before the unit is removed from the vehicle it is checked for overall condition and then started. We then run the engine through a diagnostics program and compression test. Once we have assessed the working condition of the unit it is removed from the vehicle and given a unique barcode.

Dismantling
The units are then scanned into the database and dismantled by experienced engineers in our workshops, where all working parts are checked and worn parts are discarded. All parts that are worn or removed are recorded in the SMR database.

Parts Replacement
After dismantling all worn and discarded parts are replaced with new parts. To ensure reliability and long product life, we have sourced the highest quality spares and ancillaries for use in reconditioning our units.

Assembly
Once the parts are replaced our experienced engineers assemble the units to exact manufacturer specific standards.

Washing
All units are then washed with a high pressure steam wash and blown dry with compressed air. Once dry the units are lacquered and painted.

Final Testing
In our final testing phase the units are started and run on a bench test before being put through a compression test and engine diagnostics. All the readings are stored in the SMR database.
