Since their emergence onto the Ice Dance scene in the mid 70s, no other British sporting personalities have captured the hearts and imagination of the world more than Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. The pair have lifted Ice Dance to an unprecedented level of international recognition via the ingenuity and artistry of their dance routines.

 

Torvill and Dean have won countless British, European, World and Olympic titles with their unique routines : who can forget the sheer circus athletics of Barnum, the brilliant spectacle of Mack and Mable and the pinnacle of their artistic acclaim, the sultry and sensuous Bolero, for which they earned an unequalled maximum score of nine 6.0’s for artistic impression at the Sarajevo Olympics.

 

The 91 minute programme was shot at Wembley, London, in June 1995 and captures Torvill and Dean’s spectacular farewell show, accompanied by an international company of talented ice dancers, plus interviews, behind the scenes footage and routines exclusive for this video.
