Very good condition, if I were to be super critical the only fault I can see is a tiny nibble to the glaze at the very foot of the jug where the glaze meets the unglazed foot and is at it's thinnest. The Motto says Be the day weary or be the day long to one side and At last it ringeth to Evensong, on the other. Impressed mark Allervale, the letters with serifs dating it to between 1885-1893. Just over 4" 10.5cm high. For a pottery item that can chip or crack so easily, this is a great survivor.
