This TONY CARTER LARGE BLACK CAT IN A WASHING BASKET teapot is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, but there is some crazing due to age I think.. It has superb detail, and has a high quality glazed finish, as all TONY CARTER teapots do. The teapot is a BASKET OF FRESHLY WASHED WASHING, but the family’s BLACK CAT, took one look and thought to himself, THAT LOOKS LIKE A NICE BED. So he jumped up onto the washing, snuggled down and went to SLEEP. The weave of the basket is excellent, just like a real basket. The BIG BLACK CAT IS THE LID OF THE TEAPOT. The teapot stands 6.25 inches high to THE TOP OF THE CATS EAR.the top of the cat’s ear, and measures 9.5 inches handle to spout. It is back stamped TONY CARTER ENGLAND.
