In T3’s February issue, TomTom ONE receives the T3 Gold award and scores top marks with five out of five stars. T3 emphasizes the fact that it is "easy to plug it straight in and get going." They also highlight TomTom ONE’s easy to follow 3D maps, its 3.5-inch touch screen and clear voice directions. It continues by mentioning that the TomTom ONE is quick to pick up satellite signals, has Bluetooth connectivity and that routes are recalculated almost instantaneously “should you stray off course". Autocar describes the TomTom ONE as a truly portable sat-nav and its cheapness is one of its biggest selling points. Features such as its touch screen, POIs and choice of map viewing are mentioned. The review's positive tone is reflected in the rating – TomTom ONE is awarded 4.5 out of 5 stars. According to Diesel Car magazine sat-nav is here to stay. The 'Gadget Inspector' of Diesel Car magazine recommends the TomTom ONE as ‘the one for you’. They are impressed with its GPS technology which is branded as ‘incredible’. A TomTom GO is so easy to use that The Independent finds it a great suggestion for a mum trying to calm her baby, drive and navigate all at once. It continues by saying: “It’s all ready to go straight out of the box, and the basic model, called the ONE, comes with maps of the UK.” The Independent also highlights TomTom’s PLUS services “You can subscribe to find out where speed cameras are, as well as make an internet connection via your mobile for live traffic updates.
