I have now been selling books on Ebay for around two years and have, during that time, attempted to give a full description of the content of the book offered for sale.  Most books sold are on the subjects of local history and topography and it has become apparant to me that, although a full resume of the subject matter and content of the book is of interest to some, the vast majority of my successful bidders already know of the book being offered for sale and have a very good idea of the content.  I have therefore decided that for future listings I will follow the method used by other sellers and merely quote keywords which may help ebay members find the listing in their searches together with a desciption of the condition of the book.  However should anyone like more information about a specific book, I will gladly, on request, provide a fuller and more comprehensive description of the contents.  Hopefully, adopting this revised method of listing, will be less time consuming and will therefore enable me to list more books in the future.

All books can be collected from my office in Hull to save postage if required by the successful bidder.  Where postage is paid I reserve the right to delivery by hand if I chose to do so.

Payment is only accepted by Paypal, UK Bank Personal Cheque or UK Postal Order and must be received by me within 6 days of the auction ending.

Postal charges quoted are for despatch within the UK.  Postal charges to destinations abroad will be quoted on request.

Please note that postal delivery times quoted by Ebay are calculated from the time of despatch from the Post Office and not from either the time the auction ends or the time that the payment is made.  Also please note that whilst I go to the Post Office twice a week I do not go every single day.  Under normal circumstances all items should reach the successful bidder within one week of cleared payment being received by me.  Finally please be aware that although I do obtain a proof of posting for all items posted no insurance cover is taken out unless specifically requested for by the buyer and the additional fees paid.
