Published by Oxford University Press in 1984 (reprint). Book is 223mm x 143mm, weighs 710g (incl. packaging), and is 315 pages. An authoritative detailed study of the European Starling. The theme that runs through the book is the species' extraordinary biological success: habitat choice, annual cycles, behaviour, breeding, feeding, flocking, and roosting are all discussed in terms of their contribution to the species' success. Illustrated with a 16-page section of 59 b&w photos, and additional line illustrations and distribution maps. Slight creases to dustjacket - bottom spine. Two small chips (2mm x 1mm and 1mm dia) to top corners of front/back covers of dj - repaired. Otherwise condition of book is Very Good/Excellent. Dustjacket has been protected with a removeable plastic cover.
