First published in this edition by Frank Cass, Newbury Park, Essex in 1997 was reset from the 1975 edition published by Viking Press. This Demy Octavo hardback (trimmed page size 216 x 138mm) 324pp (i-xxxiv, 1- 290) . Bound in Dark brown imitation cloth with gold blocking on spine plus a two-colour gloss laminated jacket.

The Book

One in the Cass Classics of Espionage series, is the true story of one of this century's most audacious intelligence operations, the kidnapping of Adolf Eichmann by the Israeli Mossad. Eichmann was the top gestapo officer responsible for carrying out Hitler's Final Solution and the genocide of six million European Jews. After the war Eichmann escaped to Argentina, but in 1960 the Mossad, located him, and sought to bring him to justice. Under the personal command of the author, a team of elite agents kidnapped Eichmann and smuggled him back to Israel.  With a new Introduction by Shlomo Shpiro which brings the book into its historical context to become a classic intelligence story.

The Author

Isser harel served for twelve year's as Israel's top intelligence official, commanding its foreign intelligence service, the Mossad. From humble beginnings he built the Mossad into an effective and ruthless service which is feared and respected world-wide.

This will appeal to the Espionage and Intelligence enthusiast as it relates first hand accounts of an audacious operation.

This copy is as new, unread with very slight sunning to the spine and slight dinks in the jacket.
