The Firm Cruise plays Mitch McDeere, a brilliant and ambitious Harvard Law grad. Changing Lanes Affluent Wall Street lawyer Gavin Banek (Ben Affleck) and recovering alcoholic Doyle Gipson (Samuel L. Jackson) are both on their way to vital court hearings when they get involved in a fender bender accident with each other on New York's FDR Drive. In a rush, Banek leaves the scene without doing things by the book, but he leaves behind an important document. Stranded, Gipson is late for a custody hearing, and so begins a cruel game of one-upmanship between the men. Changing Lanes is an engrossing, intelligently scripted urban drama.
