A beautiful photo of Dave Vanian of THE DAMNED, posed backstage before playing the Hammersmith Palais, London in September, 1983.
This is a 10 inch x 8 inch photograph – a genuine and exclusive item from my personal and extensive collection of Goth, Punk and Indie photographs, taken during my time as a fanzine editor, and journalist on national music papers and magazines.
For some reason international postage doesn’t seem to be showing in my shop listings even though I input all the details, which are as follows
UK - £1, Europe and Scandinavia £1.50, America, Australia and Rest Of World £2
I created and edited Panache fanzine from 1976 onwards until the early 90’s, while also freelancing throughout the 70’s/80’s for music papers - Record Mirror, wrote for ten years at Melody Maker, had a brief stint at NME, and magazines - editing ZigZag for two publishers across a six year span, and Siren.
I’m probably best known for Goth coverage as I was the only journalist covering the Goth scene from the start who regarded it as a positive force, and I still write about it on a daily basis today. I’ve also written four books on the subject.
That said, it was Punk that changed my life, so I like to show some of my favourite shots, of my favourite bands, and that same goes for Indie, as I practically lived at the Bull & Gate for ten years!
Most of these shots have never been published anywhere, not even in my fanzine, so you are buying a very limited edition print.
This is a genuine photographic print [not from a pc printer] so the quality is excellent.
I hold copyright to all of the pictures so they are legally being sold to you for your own personal enjoyment, but not for publication.
All orders are usually sent out within the week of purchase unless something unforeseen occurs, in which case I would contact you if that happened.
Photos are sent out in card-backed envelopes.
