Gillian and Joyce Linton go to the Chalet School when their mother is sent to the Sonnalpe. Joyce, the younger, brings a few anxious moments to the Chalet before she decides to "toe the line". Thekla reappears in this book and then disappears - dramatically. An exciting tale throughout. A classic children's book of the 1950s.

Brown cloth boards with black lettering on spine. The front and rear boards have minor marks and creases. The spine is intact and all the internal pages are intact and in nice condition: there is slight foxing on the edges of all internal pages. The dustjacket has some small tears, creases and marks on both the front and rear covers. Clipped.
