The example that we are offering here is in HIGHLY RESPECTALBE condition throughout, and the album set is TOTALLY ORIGINAL and COMPLETE.

The TWO ORIGINAL First Issue MONO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’ and ‘Mfd in UK’ label text. Record 1 labels Side 1 and 2 are WITHOUT the wording ‘An E.M.I. Recording’. Record 2 labels 3 and 4 are WITH the wording ‘An E.M.I. Recording’.

The TWO Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags.

….And are housed in a Very Decent ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED, FIRST ISSUE, TOP OPENING, Garrod and Lofthouse MONO GATEFOLD Sleeve, bearing the LOW NUMBER of just 0006978, clearly printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing.

There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle.

And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse.

Audio Quality:

BOTH discs play EXTREMELY WELL through ALL the tracks, with NO skips, clicks or distortion, A POWERFUL MONO Sound, with just light background crackle to the quieter passages.

Condition:

This LOW NUMBERED Original FIRST ISSUE sleeve is a CLEAN and IMPRESSIVE example in excellent minus condition, and certainly a VERY DECENT example. The Printed number, 0006978, is CLEAR and UNDAMAGED. The Front Panel of the Fully Laminated sleeve is GLOSSY, STRONG and FIRM, with only light record indentation and mild age toning. BOTH TOP opening edges (where the records are inserted) are FLAT and UNDAMAGED. There is only minimal laminate flaking to the Spine Edge, and the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges. There is a corner bump to the bottom left hand corner, and a milder corner bump to the bottom right hand corner (clearly visible in the detailed scans provided). The inner gatefold part of the sleeve is in IMPRESSIVE condition, with only mild age toning. There is NO fading to the The Beatles images nor the tracklisting and the two inner gatefold flipbacks are UNDAMAGED. The back panel of the sleeve too is STRONG and CLEAN, with only the mild record indentation and light age toning.

ALL Four Record labels are in SUBERB excellent plus condition, CLEAN, UNWORN record labels, with only light spider trails around the centre spindle holes – these are not visible head on - only when tilting the labels around in certain light.

All four sides of the Two Vinyl Discs are in excellent condition, BRIGHT, UNWORN Vinyl surfaces, showing some light, INAUDIBLE, surface scratches, but NO deep scuffs or deep scratches.

Each of the four Original GLOSSY colour Photographs, measuring 8" x 11.25" (20.5 cms x 28.5 cms) are all in GORGEOUS, UNDAMAGED near mint condition. NO pin holes, NO tearing,, NO sellotape marks and NO handwriting.

The Original factory folded Lyric Poster is in SUPERB, UNDAMAGED near mint condition, NO seam splits or tearing to any of the folds and NO handwriting or other damage and we doubt very much whether its been unfoled more than once or twice – STUNNING!

BOTH Original Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags are in very good condition, with some inevitable creasing. One has a small split to the centre die cut. The other has a small split to the opening edge, and a 1" seam split to one edge.

Interest in ORIGINAL, IMPRESSIVE and COMPLETE examples of the ICONIC Beatles UK WHITE ALBUM release will continue to RISE - especially relevant to LOW NUMBERED versions - thereby increasing the longer term INVESTMENT POTENTIAL. An all round HIGHLY RESPECTABLE example of one of the most INFLUENTIAL albums of the 20th Century.
