RETURN POLICY
This policy has been worded according to the latest laws and regulations in relation to distance selling:
1) In case you receive an item which was faulty or not as described you have the following options:
a) Be offered a replacement product of the same type. I will post that free of charge. The faulty item will have to be returned to me and I will pay for the return postal fees.
b) Depending on the nature of the fault I will offer partial refund if you still want to keep the item. This applies especially to collectable and rare items where finding the same time again is difficult. So, for example, if you buy an old radio and discover that a knob has a small crack not mentioned in the description I’ll refund you let’s say £5 to cover for that if you want to keep the item because it is difficult to find another one.
c) You can return the item and I will fully refund you. The refund will include the price the item sold, the postal fees you paid and also the postal fees you may have to pay in order to return it to me. If you use a postal service which costs more than the original in order to return the item you will have to pay the extra cost. So, for example, if I sent something by First Class recorded and it cost me £2 to post I will pay you this amount. However, if you choose to return it by Royal Mail Special delivery which costs £6 then you will have to pay the difference.
d) Faulty items which were described as such in the auction page cannot be returned unless you find they have or develop another fault which wasn’t mentioned in the description.
e) For items which are heavy but of low value (e.g. amplifier which sold for 99 pence and cost £10 to post) I may exercise my discretion and offer you full refund without the product being returned since it wouldn’t be cost effective to repair.
2) In case you wish to return an item because you just don’t like it or you changed your mind about buying it you can do so provided you notify me within 7 working days after the item has been delivered to you. When returning the item you will have to pay the return postal fees yourself and the original postal fees will not be refunded.
Further to that the item will have to have been purchased via a ‘Buy it now’, ‘Classified ad’, ‘Second Chance Offer’ or ‘Fixed listing shop price format. If item has been purchased through an auction style listing format you can only return it if it turns out to be fault or not as described.
3) In case an item has been lost in the post I will refund your payment and make a claim with Royal Mail or other courier company that has been used to post the item. This claim will be made after the deadline the postal company sets itself for when an item is considered lost. This timeframe is 15 working days for items delivered with Royal Mail within the UK and 28 working days for items delivered internationally. Fraudulent claims will result in court action.
4) If item gets damaged by the courier I will refund your payment or part of it (depending on the nature of the damage) and make a claim with the courier company.
5) For sales of items within the EU different rules apply.
6) For any items sold outside the European Union buyers will have to post back the item at their own expense even if turns out to be faulty and I will re-imbruse the original payment amount. |
