This TEAPOTTERY STORM IN A TEACUP TEAPOT is in very good condition, no chips, cracks, but there is some crazing on the saucer due to age I think. It has superb detail, and has a high quality glazed finish, as all TEAPOTTERY teapots do. THE TEAPOT STANDS ON A LARGE HEAVY SAUCER, WHICH HAS A DIAMETER OF 6.25 INCHES. THERE IS A GOLD COLOURED FINISH AROUND THE EDGE OF THE SAUCER. THE PRINT ON THE SAUCER READS: STORM IN A TEACUP 3 TIMES. ALSO ON THE SAUCER ARE PRINTS OF SEASHELLS, AND AN ANCHOR. TEAPOT / CUP HAS PRINTS OF SHELLS, AND ROPE AROUND THE TEAPOT / CUP. THE TEAPOT / CUP HAS A GOLD COLOURED FINISH AROUND THE BASE / HANDLE / AND TOP OF THE TEAPOT. THE TEAPOT IS IN THE SHAPE OF A TEACUP AND SAUCER. OBVIOUSLY THE DESIGNER WAS USING A PLAY ON WORDS, FOR AROUND THE TOP EDGE OF THE CUP IT READS: STORM IN A TEACUP, ON EACH SIDE OF THE CUP. THE LID IS OUTSTANDING. THE LID ON THE TOP OF THE CUP TEAPOT IS A VERY ROUGH SEA WITH HIGH WAVES. THERE IS A SMALL BOAT THAT IS BEING TOSSED ABOUT ON THE STORMY SEA. A LIGHTHOUSE IS NEAR THE SMALL BOAT WARNING THAT IT IS A ROCKY COAST. THE TEAPOT IS A CUP, AND THE LID IS THE STORM. HENCE STORM IN A TEACUP. The teapot stands 6.25 inches high, and measures 6.5 4inches handle to spout. It is back stamped TEAPOTTERY. MADE IN ENGLAND. A superb TEAPOTTERY STORM IN A TEACUP TEAPOT
