I’m offering for sale my champagne gold TEAC Reference 500 series surround sound hi-fi system. It’s in excellent working order and comes with the original remote control, all unit interconnecting cables and the original user manuals.

The Reference 500 Series remains the first choice amongst Midi component systems and the sound quality can be compared with other, larger and more expensive component systems. The Reference Series offers a choice of amplifier or receiver, CD players, cassette deck and tuner perfectly formed and beautifully finished in gold. The best combination of style and performance in its class.

AV-H500 5-channel AV amplifier The other three components are the PD-H500 single CD player, R-H500 cassette deck and T-H500 tuner. The AV-H500 Pro Logic amplifier has an evenly balanced output across its five channels, with 50 watts going to the right, left and centre speakers, and 2 x 25 watts driving the rear channel. The DPL decoder has five additional DSP modes (hall, theatre, live, disc and stadium), there’s no graphic equaliser, just good old manual bass and treble controls. The only additional adjustment is variable delay time, to compensate for different room sizes and speaker placement.

The CD & tape decks both have slick motorised drawers actions and the remote control is in excellent condition.
