 TDK Head Cleaning disc.

Will fit any make & model of Mini Disc recorder. ( Not Suitable for player only units )

A common problem with all players is that a dirt and oxide gradually builds up on the record head, thus preventing the player from writing to the disc, this causes the disc to 'jump' or 'freeze' - in extreme circumstances the player can't even recognise that a disc is there at all.

Wiping the heads with tissues - ear buds etc make things worse as particles come away from these and you could even damage the system making the player uneconomical to repair. 

Prevention is better than cure, and as such most manufacturers recommend that the mini disc is cleaned at least once a month.

Look after your expensive equipment - maintainence is cheaper than repair.
