TCD-D8 Portable DAT recorder
   

 This is one of the later portable DAT recorders that Sony released, these machines were aimed at the high standard recording market and though built for the domestic market, these recorders were often used for outside news reports and sound effect gathering. These DAT recorders are hard to find in working condition, usually they suffer from Error 10 or 12 but this one shows none  of these problems.

This recorder is in used condition but as can be seen from the photographs, it has not suffered a hard life, all pictures can be clicked on to show larger resolution copies, any questions please email me before bidding.

 I have tested this devices record function which appears to work well, I have connected the line inputs and outputs to my amplifier and the device appears to be working well, its playing, recording fine on line, it rewinds and fast  forwards, track searches and the controls on the front appear to be working fine, I have not got a mic to test the microphone inputs and I have not got Sony's digital cable either, this recorder is sold with mo batteries or DAT cassettes, the batteries shown in this video were almost flat anyway.
