Talbot Sunbeam 1600CC Ti Rally Car

Excellent professionally built stage rally car, built from mainly new and quality reconditioned parts, to a very high spec and only having done one A.S.O.C TRACK DAY and one Asda charity rally car ride day at Bruntingthorpe , so is still in A1 condition and possibly one of the best unarched sunbeam rally cars about. Having won twice Best Competition Car at the Avenger Sunbeam Owners Club National weekend in 2007 and 2009

here is a brief spec.

Shell: - Genuine Ti , fully seam welded and strengthened, full multi point weld in cage, all steel panels New poly windows, P.T.S guards, Motordrive pro seats, Luke 5point belts, all pro wired and fused, solid state cut off, lifeline electric extinguisher, plus much more.

Engine:- Freshly  rebuilt 1600cc GpA Ti , tuned at Skip Brown's 115 at wheels. Fully L/B,GpA head kent avrl1 cam, newcomp flywheel new 3 plate paddle clutch, all new bearings, oil pump, followers bolts etc. Running on recon twin 40 webbers(skip Brown),new twin red top pumps and filter king, all plumbed in with new top quality Aeroquip fittings. New pippercross filter, new 4.2.1. Thermo wrapped comp manifold and system, new 3 core rad and new pacet fan.

Gearbox:- Quaife 4 speed rocket ratio, Mal stuart bellhousing, rosejointed stick and proper speedo drive with trip port.

Axle:- fully rebuilt Salisbury 4.4 L.S.D. new plates, New 10mm alloy brace.

Suspension:- all new.

Front. Bilstein coilovers 280/80, 190lb springs, rose jointed adjustable T.C.A.s and drag links, 2.2 rack with brass cups,N/C crossmember.

Rear. All new Bilsteins, 210lb-1" springs, tubular top links all poly bushed.

Brakes:- all new . Willwood 4 pots with vents on front , solid discs on rear, dash adjustable bias pedalbox with adjustable valve, alloy hydralic hand brake, all brake lines are also made from top quality aeroquip fittings.

If this was an Escort it would be in excess of £35,000 so you are getting twice the car for a 3rd of the price With a small amount of work you could go out in classic rallies and win your class.

This is a very reluctant sale and I will not be open to stupid offers.

 I would be willing to sell as a trimmed shell for £5,000 you would not build one of this standard for that, or as a rolling shell for £8,000.

The white 1600 S in the background is not for sale , it belongs to my wife and it will be on show at the N.E.C. Classic car show.
