Very rare and large coral and shell encrusted Ancient Chinese Sung Dynasty Celadon glazed pottery bowl dating from 1127-1279 A.D. It has a dull sheen which is typical of shipwreck pottery recovered from the sea. It is very heavily encrusted with shell and coral deposits after being buried for many centuries beneath the sea. It was recovered from the South China Sea from an early unknown wreck. It is beautifully glazed and measures 188mm in diameter. The condition is good. This is a stunning bowl of high quality and extremely rare.
