Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot

Made in London, by Richard Pierce & George Burrows, in 1850.

A Superb Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot.  Made in London, in 1850, by Richard Pierce & George Burrows.  A Cylindrical Teapot with a scroll handle and Fluted Finial.  Free from engraving. This is a Large teapot of a very Rare Design. Plain area of polished unadourned silver. A silver collectors dream, it's all in the form. Good weight of silver in very good order, All pleasing. The finial possibly with a genuflection to an eclesiastical influence. the whole with an amost Art Deco feel to the balance of shape. This is a good Early Victorian teapot of great intyerest and in  good order.      

Condition: 

The Marks:  Well Struck.  Hallmarked to the finial, handle, lid amd base. 

The Teapot:  Very Good.  No Splits, dents or repairs.  One small dink to the front and some dimpling to the side.
