This fantastic and absolutely cup saucer and plate were made by the famous Noritake porcelain manufacturers, from Japan. They were produced during the early 20th Century and are typically ’Art Deco’ in style. Each item is decorated with panels featuring scenic views, picked out in a naturalistic palette and surrounded by richly and superbly gilded designs, on a dark red ground. The set is hand painted and is finished in high quality gloss glaze and it is a perfect example of the excellent quality of Japanese workmanship and artistry. .

The set is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration or fading to gilding. The green glaze is bright and vibrant and the gilding is outstanding. The plate measures 6 ¼”, while the sauces measurement is 5 ¼”, cup measures approximately 2¼” in height and 3 ¼” in diameter. Superb collectors item and a rare find.
