Kawasaki Xi Sport Jetski + Trailer + Extras For sale is my beloved Kawasaki 2 seater jetski. It pains me to have to get rid of it but due to ill health it is unlikely I will be able to use it again. As you can see from the pictures the ski has been very well looked after. The engine has been flushed with fresh water after every use and all components in the engine bay are wiped down with an oil based cleaner after every use to protect from any salt wear. When I bought the ski I felt that the battery was underpowered so I bought a brand new bike battery which has only been charged 4 times. I always remove and store the battery after every use to preserve its life. The engine on this is absolutely bomb proof and starts first time every time even after a winter store. The water tell-tale exit runs fast and clear and the water being pumped through doesn't appear with any colouring or oil. Before any use I always lift the cover off the twin carbs and spray some carb cleaner in and a touch of WD40 to loosen the choke. I'm of the opinion that when you make the decision to go and ski the last thing you want to do is arrive and have a problem so preparation is the key. The ski has been launched and retrieved at a local beach from the trailer and I have been surprised just how easy it is to get back on the trailer. I have watched a few friends trying to get their skis back on to the trailers with the carpeted runners and they have absolute nightmares. On this ski you just drop the trailer in the water and ride the ski up on to the rollers. Hook up the winch and hey presto it's back on the trailer. If you are pretty strong it is possible to launch and retrieve on your own although I usually ski with a mate who always helps out. I bought this ski from a fireman friend who lives locally who was obsessive about it's maintenance and cleanliness and I have tried to continue his good work. Every time she is returned home I wash down with fresh water and leather dry. Leaving any salt on a ski will always cause issues so it is good to go right over it carefully. I beleive the ski is mid to late 90's and if you look around most of this particular model were sold during 1998 although I'm unable to verify that. The ski is in overall excellent condition with only the following items that I can see. There is a rub mark on the gelcoat on the front of the ski which in no way detracts from the look. I doubt it even shows in the pics but when examining closely it is apparent. The underneath of the ski has the associated scuffs from beach retrieval but nothing of note. The trailer is in very good condition with all trailer runner wheels present and working and the bi-directional winch is excellent. The trailer also has a jockey wheel. The bearings on the trailer are in good condition and I would suggest they have at least another season in them before a clean out and re-grease are required. The trailer tyres are 'average' and if I were keeping it I would probably replace them both next year although they are pretty cheap to do (circa £20). Included with the sale of the ski is a sand anchor (basically a bag to put sand in with a rope and clip!), a starting lanyard that cuts the ski out when/if you fall off, a flare, a tow rope and a waterproof storage bag (£50!) that means you can take car keys, phone, money etc out with you. I always take my phone so if in trouble I can call. All of these store safely in the front locker. Inside the ski below the front locker is a fire extingusher in case it's needed. It was my plan to replace with a new one as it's starting to look a little old but I reckon its still usable. If you are interested and want to know any more about the ski please feel free to ask as I'm more than happy to go through anything with you. Also, if you are buying this ski without any previous experience I am also more than happy to take you through how it all works, how to clean it, flush it etc etc. Everyone has to learn somehow! So, there we go, my jetski up for sale (boo hoo!). I just hope it goes to someone who will get as much enjoyment from it as I have and will give it the TLC is deserves. As ever, I'm a genuine ebayer and more than happy to answer questions, show more pictures or enter into any discussions. Feel free to contact me and check my feedback.... 100% Happy bidding.. Marc P.S - I also have a full size ringo and rope which I would be prepared to sell seperately. |
