Offered for sale is a superb example of French Truffle jar in the largest size i have personally come across (it must have contained a fortunes worth!).
It is Dark Olive in colour with a deep base "kick" and is in excellent condition with no more than a few very minor marks.
The jar stands 9.9 inches high and dates c1890-1900.
