Bidding has ended on this item. Item:Super early blue & white willow baby feeder bottle |
|
|
This super baby feeding bottle dates to around 1880 and is an unusual shape being smaller and dumpier than normal. The blue and white willow pattern is in a soft delicate shade and wraps around the body of the feeder. This very tactile bottle is beautifully proportioned and is a joy to hold sitting snuggly in the hand. It measures approx 6 1/4" in lenght and approx 4" at its widest point. Condition is very good - there is a slight very faint crazing on the bottle and around the filling hole is slightly rough to the touch where a bit of glazing has rubbed away - but nothing to detract. There is a firing crack about 1/4" across on one of the seams (see photo) which has been present since manufacture apart from that there are no chips, cracks or repairs to this early feeding bottle. A lovely example to add to your collection offered with no reserve. Thanks for looking! |
