This good-quality-leather saddle from Kate's Saddle Supply is built on a fiberglass-wrapped, steel-reinforced, hardwood Superfit tree, adjustable in-factory to your own horse's wither tracing, making it suitable whether your horse is medium, wide or narrow.

It's available at this price in black or brown and seat sizes 15", 16", 17" & 18" so can suit ladies from 84 lbs to 182 lbs (6st to 13 st), or gents from 112 lbs to 238 lbs (8st to 17st).

As you can see from the pictures, this lovely saddle has a wealth of fine details making it, all in all, a very attractive piece of tack. Your friends will be green with envy!

It comes fully fitted with Aussie 4-bar brass stirrups, 2.5" wide leathers, Aussie cinch style overgirth, and lovely luxury fleece-backed web undergirth.

The wool/serge panel is designed to wick sweat quickly away from the horse's back, making it ideal for long rides where a traditional leather-lined panel might create a scald or make the skin prone to fungal infections. For this reason, a wool / serge lined saddle should always be aired after use by storing on a rack which allows good airflow, not on a solid surface. For the same reason, pads and blankets should be removed from under the saddle before storing.

This type of panel is also more flexible than leather-lined, so designed to adapt itself readily to the contour of the horse's back - the more you ride in it, the more perfectly it will fit.

Australian Stock saddles are ideal for those who spend long hours in the saddle, for trekking and trail riding (particularly in mountainous terrain), and also for novice, elderly or disabled riders who are looking for a very safe, secure ride. Australian saddles are designed to be used over a saddle-pad or blanket.
