If it's mains powered the lead may be too short to reach the power socket. So before you buy! - Check! - How is the camera powered? - Is the power lead long enough? - & - Where are batteries located? THIS system NOW has MAINS & BATTERY powered options! So the camera's power - Mains or Battery - is away from the birdbox & easy to get at without disturbing nesting birds. They claim they are not as good as wired cameras or they may interfere with other electronics in you home. Please be assured they are as good as wired versions (or better) . I sell both types - I should know. In two years of selling wireless cams I have not had a single report of equipment interference of any kind. The cameras operate on many set frequencies within a band width .... so clashes are rare. Does your wireless broadband get interference from other similar systems in your area? (Yet ..... Wireless modems just have 6 to 8 set frequencies) Could it be .. these sellers are unable to obtain quality wireless camera supplies ..... so are stuck with selling just the wired type? Another seller has suggested that Side Windows are a 'hot house' to nesting birds. .... If the box is located correctly (facing North) then side windows are not struck by the midday sun (which is in the South). In fact the rising & setting sun can only offer warming, at periods of lower temperatures. I have also had a report that 'guaranteed colour' inside the Bird Box from another seller - means make your own side windows. ??? This Item comes with Side Windows fitted Free on request! ......................................................................................
