1996 Subaru Impreza WRX, 93,000kms. I bought the car 8 months ago from a guy who said the turbo had gone. He said it ran but was smokey. It came with a second hand turbo which I fitted but still didn't run right, it ticked over normal but was smokey when revved. I compression tested it to find 1 cylinder had no compression, all the other 3 where spot on to the manual. I have taken the intercooler of and some other bits with the intention to remove the engine and fix it my self. Now the weathers getting cold and I haven't a shed to work in she has to go. I have the log book and it's been made SORN.
I'm not to up on cars but the lad who I bought it off told me about the extras it has on it i.e Spax?? adjustable suspension, some kind of exhaust system, boost gauges, dump valve etc. When I had it running I drove the car and all the gears brakes etc were all good. The suspension felt very good too so I would expect it handles a treat. Also my had backed into the front of the car with a trailer so the bumper has a scrape too.
The will run if the plugs and intercooler are put back. It will need collecting by a trailer or recovery truck. I can quote you on delivery too.
