An interesting and typically well made Art Deco wine waiters knife, made by the renowned firm of silvermsiths Christofle of France. Designed for the swift removal of foil from the top of a  wine bottle prior to removing the cork, one side of the solidly formed piece has the embossed and finely detailed head of a native person with ceremonial head dress. The reverse has the embossed work 'IBRU', surrounded by a repeating motif of alligators, if anyone has any idea of the relevance of this I would be exceedingly interested to know! Stamped Christofle marks to the front and presented in excellent, clean and undamaged condition.
