This is a stunning '40s black straw tilt hat with an open crown. The brim edge and the edge of the open crown are trimmed in rows of tiny black straw ruffles.  The crown is approx. 3 3/8" high, the OPENING in the crown is 3 1/4" by 3 3/4",  the brim  is approx 2 3/4" wide (at the widest point--the right side--the left side is not as wide) and the diameter of the hat is 10 1/2" by 7 3/4". It can be worn by  most head sizes because of the style.

The label: Roberta Model.

Condition: The hat's in very good condition--a few tiny breaks in the straw ruffle--almost impossible to see and there's a bit of light discoloration on the inner grosgrain band.

Overall a very chic hat with a great look of the World War II era--clean and ready to wear
