Unbelievable beautiful late Victorian hand painted oval miniature brooch with scroll work detail. The hand painted miniature is of a lovely woman in period dress with a garland of flowers across her shoulder and in her hair. Colours and attention to detail are incredible. Miniature is behind glass.  It has a pin and hook catch to the rear. Length 39.0 mm, width 39.0 mm; depth 4.0 mm.   Gross weight 8.2 grams. Manufacture: hand finished. Stamped 800 to the rear, no date, but I have been told this is a European mark for silver.
