This outstanding antique timepiece features a gleaming gold case which is in perfect condition with no dents, dings, scuffs or scrapes and no signs of wear. The back cover snaps tightly closed and opens to 90 degrees on a perfect hinge. It has a beautiful engraved design which is as perfect as the day it was made and has no personalization. The inside of the cover is marked CWC Co and the inside of the inner dust cover is marked Crescent warranted 25 years which means it is gold filled. 

The edge of the case is perfect and unmarked and shows no wear. The front cover snaps tightly closed and opens to 90 degrees when the crown is pressed and has a stunning engraved design which is perfect.  The gleaming bezel houses a white porcelain dial which is in perfect condition with no hairlines or chips. The dial is accented by crisp black numbers and black minute markers with stunning blued hands and a sunken subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock.

The glass crystal is in perfect condition with no marks or scratches, the bow is tight and the crown winds and sets the watch as it should. The gleaming damaskeened movement looks like the day it was made and is marked Elgin Nat'l Watch Co USA safety pinion and serial #10653938 which dates it to circa 1903. This serial number indicates it is the first run of grade 286. The movement runs strong and smooth when wound and keeps very good time.
