Reluctantly I am selling a much treasured family heirloom
A wonderful original 3 piece suite dating from the Art Deco period of the 1920's.
It has super Deco styling on a walnut veneered frame with the deep sprung seats, curved back and wide arms. The decoration to the front of the arms is ribbed and very curvaceous.
It is in truly excellent condition it was sympathetically fully re-upholstered in a lovely saxe blue boucle moquette with matching trim a couple of years ago.
All the springing is firm and the frame sound.

It comes from a pet free non smoking home.

The reason for selling is we have inherited this and although I loathe to part with it, we really cannot accommodate it's style and it deserves to be enjoyed in an art deco home.So after great deliberation I feel it has to be rehomed.

As you can see from the dimensions the design is angled outwards from back to front splaying wider at front.I'm not sure the pics show this. The backs are angled back comfortably and sprung as well as the seats.There is a curve to the centre top of the back with dropped shoulders.
The walnut veneered arm tops are in excellent condition with only one tiny piece of the veneer missing 1cm sq approx.
The front plinth has numerous scuffs but that is only to be expected but they have been polished out as well as they could be when re-upholstered and are not visible due to the grain of the walnut. In it's early years it was used every day but not for many many years.
If in the pics the colour does not appear uniform this is just camera flash/ sunlight there is no fading to the upholstery and no signs of wear really. Colourwise the close up of the fabric seems to be true to life, slightly brighter than any of the more distant pics.

With regard to transporting: collection is preferable but delivery is possible but only reasonably local to me
we are located in Rayleigh Essex. Please contact me regarding this. There are many man with a van listings on ebay if you live any distance from me.

With regard to payment cash on collection / delivery is preferable or part paypal part cash is acceptable if making payment by paypal please advise when making your offer.
