Strathspey - 10x50 Waterproof Binoculars - top quality

50mm binoculars are general purpose and suitable for most applications. If you've ever held a pair of binoculars in your life they've likely been 10x50s. They offer ample light gathering for most uses, are small enough to fit in your glovebox, rucksack or paniers and are easy to hold.

But most manufacturers try to cut corners and make them as cheaply as possible. Our 50mm's are made with superior BAK-4 prisms (most others are inferior BAK-7s) but are still great value. BAK-4's give a brigher, sharper image but cost more as they're denser. We see no reason to offer customers an inferior product just because they don't need 60mm or larger lenses!

Our waterproof models not only have watertight seals but are nitrogen filled to avoid condensation. They're also a different construction to our normal 50mm and a bit more rugged.

We've upgraded this model to have our level II optical coatings. So it's now even better than before! I must confess it's one of my favourites. A pair live in my car's glovebox and I use them a lot, I find the eyepiece design very comfortable. But with the improved level II coatings the view is just stunning!

They can be tripod mounted using our inexpensive L bracket (5.99+VAT) but are easily light enough to hand hold for long periods. A tripod makes all binoculars easier to use, sadly not all of our competitors offer this facility on 50mm binoculars.

These binoculars have fold down rubber eye cups, perfect for spectacle wearers.

Our binoculars come with a padded carrying case with neck strap, cleaning cloth and lens caps.

We prefer to take debit cards if possible as credit cards charge us a 3.5% fee.

Price includes VAT, a VAT receipt will be sent with the binoculars unless you ask us not to (if they're a present for example). If you're outside the UK and can give me a VAT number in your EC country I don't need to add it. If you're outside the EC you don't need to pay either.
