Stocking Parade, Number 5
Published at irregular intervals during the 1960s, the full-sized Stocking Parade focused on pretty women in hosiery. In 1966, Mr. Burtman merged Stocking Parade with his High Heels magazine. This issue lives up to its name, with an assortment of stockings on shapely legs, including RHT, FF, tights, patterned, and lace. Just about every picture in this issue shows pretty women in hosiery.

Most of the magazine consists of short pictorials of individual models.

• Pictorials of models Dominique, Andi Scott, Pamela Rogers, Darlene Bennett, Margaret Carroll, Mary O'Hare, Helga Swenson, Jo Ann, and Sonia Cardell.

The ebook contains every word and picture of the original. Many page layouts have been revised to obtain larger pictures of the models. The page sequence has been revised to place the text of short stories on succeeding pages.

Each of the fine photos and illustrations is placed on a wide ebook page proportioned to fill the horizontal space framed by Acrobat Reader on monitor screens. The nearly complete image is shown at one end and enlargements of footwear and stockings appear beside it or on the following page. Some of the walls, floors and furniture have been cropped out of pictures to obtain maximum presentation of models and characters. As many of the pictures are small, this technique is probably the best way to enjoy all the precious details in the original material. The optimized version of Stocking Parade 5 consists of more than 140 pages of pinup photos and drawings.

Family Affair, Book 3
Mr. Stanton was a master of the pencil, and this work demonstrates his virtuoso skill with clear lines and shadows that delineate his voluptuous divas in all their fury. The 20-page episode has been given an ebook presentation of 50 pages. Adjacent and over-lapping tableaux have been dis-assembled and each placed on its own wide, optimized ebook page, sized to fill the screen. The sometimes pale lines have been darkened. Filling his pictures with lovely curves, exciting contours, and beautiful faces, Mr. Stanton shows us what he likes to see.

Book 3 continues the story of Lorraine, Henry, Dolly, and Teddy. In this alternative household, gorgeous women rule. Their superior strength enables them to keep men under control and win at wrestling.

PROCESS
Pages were scanned at 600 dpi and the resolution subsequently reduced to 155 dpi. I adjusted the tonality of the illustrations and photographs slightly and cleared specks.

The scans were assembled as a book in a publishing program. Then, the file was exported to Acrobat .pdf format. Acrobat files are opened in Acrobat Reader, available without charge for both PC and MAC platforms at adobe.com. Users can open picture-viewing and video programs while reading ebooks in Acrobat Reader. The Reader allows zooming and printing of pages.

The three .pdf files are 35 mb, 45mb and 16mb.
