     Pontycymer or rather Pontycymmer as the GWR spelt it!  The date of this photo is 13th July 1959.  The loco is 2-8-0T 4241 withdrawn in April 1964 and scrapped in December '64.  Behind the train of 16ton mineral wagons can be seen Pontycymmer station building which had closed on 21st September 1953.  It was to close completely on 12th July 1965.
